As the days went by, Michael and his team worked tirelessly to put their plan into action. They encountered several obstacles, including the prison's ruthless guards and the ever-watchful eyes of the prison's surveillance system.

Michael befriended some of the inmates, including Fernando Sucre, a Puerto Rican inmate who was initially wary of Michael but eventually became a key player in the escape plan. There was also Theodore "T-Bag" Bagchamp, a seasoned inmate who had a talent for picking locks and creating makeshift tools.
